June Coffee Night
Vernon from local company Fireco gave an interesting talk on the various types of fire extinguishers and ideally which type should be used on which types of fires. He brought in a range of extinguishers including dry powder (white band), foam (blue band), CO2 (black band), wet chemical (oatmeal coloured band) and water.
Following the discussion which generated a lot of questions from the members, a number of us went outside for a demonstration of a couple of CO2 extinguishers. A most interesting and informative guest speaker.
