Rest Home Visits 2024

Was a great day out visiting the Merrivale Care Home, (what was the second one called Phil) and then onto our last one at Puriri Court Lifecare.
The more mature people we met up with were excited to see the cars and Pete R had a couple of budding petrol heads take the opportunity to sit in his vehicle.
Brian’s Triumph TR certainly gained a lot of attention.
We then motored out to the airport and were met by Steve their operations manager and he showed us through a hanger, whilst we sheltered from the rain. Inside were a replica P51 Mustang a Robinson helicopter and a few other aircraft. We then moved on down to the last hangar in the line and met with the men from the Whangarei Aero Club and they kindly allowed up through their workshop/hangar which housed the three club owned planes and a couple of privately owned microlights. We rounded out the event with a convivial chat and lunch at the airport cafe.
Thanks to Phil Schultz for organizing what was great day out.Enjoy the
